Congratulations to Matilda Langham, 2023 recipient of the RSL Australia Scholarship
Each year RSL Australia provides scholarships for children and grandchildren of veterans to assist them to undertake tertiary education in Australia.
This year’s deserving recipient is Matilda Langham.
Matilda is a proud Wiradjuri Woman from the rural town of Forbes, NSW. She is studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education (Health and Physical Education), Majoring in Indigenous studies at the University of Canberra.
“I have a passion for education and the process of bettering individuals and getting them prepared for the reality of life, teaching them skills that can help with growth in the future.” says Matilda.
Chair of the RSL Australia Board attended the scholarship presentations at the Anzac Memorial in Sydney on 16 June to present Matilda with her award.

RSL Scholarships ($4,000 each per year) continue for up to three years. The Scholarships can be applied for through, and are administered by, the Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust [AVCAT].
Applications for scholarships open each year on 18 August and close on 31 October.
