RSL Australia attended the ESORT (Ex-Service Organisation Round Table) meeting on Tuesday, 3 December 2024.

Items discussed included:

  • An update from DVA on advocacy claims, MRCA liability claims, the Veteran Wellbeing Grants program, and the Veterans’ Entitlements, Treatment and Support (Simplification and Harmonisation) Bill 2024, which remains before the Parliament and is expected to be considered in February 2025

  • The Government’s response to the Final Report of the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide

  • Submissions from ESORT members on a range of issues

  • A summary of DVA’s critical initiatives
