Australian Military Wives Choir

First, we sing for our hearts. Second, we sing for our voices. Third, we sing for others.

Find Your Voice, Find Your Community

The Australian Military Wives Choir (AMWChoir) is more than just a choir; it's a supportive community connecting women across Australia who share a bond through their connection to the Australian Defence Force. Whether you're a serving member, a partner, a parent, or have another current or recent ADF connection, the AMWChoir offers a place to sing, share, and belong. Regular in-person or online rehearsals foster well-being, connection, and a shared love of music, and the annual national workshop brings singers from around the country together to sing for their hearts. Join the choir and connect with singers who understand the unique experience of supporting current ADF service.

“Whenever I sing…I am reminded I am not alone in my journey as a military wife.”

RSL and the Australian Military Wives Choir

RSL Active is proud to support the Australian Military Wives Choir, recognising the vital role it plays in connecting and supporting women connected to the ADF. RSL Active is supporting the AWMChoir annual Leadership Training workshop in Townsville from 15-18 May 2025.

A number of RSL sub-branches also have relationships with some of the choir locations and provide space for rehearsals and storage for equipment. The Australian Military Wives Choirs will perform at a number of local celebrations and commemorative events over the year, including ANZAC Day events.

“AMWChoir has provided opportunities to develop friends that are ongoing despite us posting apart.”
