ANZAC Day - SPorts eVents
Sport on Anzac Day serves as a bridge between the past and the present, honouring those who served while bringing communities together through shared passion and remembrance.
Sport has long played an important role in Anzac Day. From the cricket matches on the fields of Gallipoli to the annual Essendon vs. Collingwood Australian Football League (AFL) match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), sport has been intertwined with this significant day of remembrance.
Anzac Day Commemoration will take place before the following games to pay tribute to the generations of Australian and New Zealander servicemen and women. Spectators are encouraged to be in their seats to pay their respects.
